DRUGS IMPACT EVERYONE PROGRAM Presented by: The Narcotic Educational Foundation of Nevada
The Drugs Impact Everyone Program was designed to educate drug offenders in the many ways others are affected by their drug abuse and use. Many innocent people suffer from the choices drug users make each day and this program exposes those victims. Families, children, siblings, significant others, and generations of family members are all directly impacted by their use. There are many indirect victims of drug abuse and use. Many have no idea how one individual can have such an impact on everything around them. Our economy, hospitals, workforce, businesses, community, neighborhoods and society are additionally victimized. The program started as a pilot program in Southern Nevada. Future plans are to include the entire state of Nevada in the program. This is a self funded program and does not depend of tax payer monies to run. The program was designed and implemented by Detective John Evans and Detective Robert Perry in early 2007. With support from NEFN founded by Detective Bruce Gentner, the Drugs Impact Everyone Program is becoming a significant tool in Drug Education and Prevention. This program expects to obtain real up to date data and statistics on drug trends, drug use and needs for additional education for the entire state of Nevada.
